WeatherLive.org is a fast, independent weather site for the United States and Canada. We blend NOAA/NWS model guidance with global weather models and official environmental feeds, then put it all on one quick page: live radar, hourly and 10-day forecasts, severe weather alerts, air quality, allergy outlooks and hurricane tracking for more than 16,000 cities and towns.
Data sources & attribution
- NOAA / National Weather Service — NBM model blend (via Open-Meteo), active watches and warnings (api.weather.gov), Storm Prediction and National Hurricane Center outlooks.
- NEXRAD radar — Doppler mosaics © NOAA, served through the Iowa Environmental Mesonet.
- Global models (ECMWF, GFS, Canadian GEM) — extended forecasts, UV and comparison views.
- US EPA methodology — the 0–500 Air Quality Index computed from PM2.5, PM10 and ozone.
- NOAA SWPC — geomagnetic (Kp) forecasts behind our northern-lights pages.
- OpenWeatherMap / NASA GIBS — precipitation and satellite layers on our maps.
- GeoNames — the city and town database, used under the CC BY 4.0 license.
- Esri & OpenStreetMap contributors — base map cartography.
- WeatherAPI.com — supplemental current conditions and forecast data.
