Attention all residents! Please be advised that the Flood Watch
still in effect. The risk of Flash Flooding is high and we urge you
to take all necessary precautions to ensure your safety and that of
your loves ones. Stay alert and updated.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...For All Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
* WHEN...Through Sunday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low lying and flood prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas. Low water crossings may be
flooded. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and
rivers are possible.
Additionally, due to soil saturation, even a slight heavy rainfall
has the potential to produce landslides and mudslides on steep
terrains.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
Based on the latest guidance, the most likely time period for
the heaviest rainfall activity will remain during the
afternoon, especially along the mountains and north of the
Cordillera Central.
